SCENES OF PAIDE*
Scene no 1
Trees. Big and lonely.
Rowan, willow, pine. Lime tree as well.
One could climb on all of them. To hide.
Create your own place and dream.
Boys from the neighbourhood throw a nest of a crow down from the pine – we didn’t dare to go there for a long time afterwards. It was too sad.
Scene no 2
Tower parties. Those with a taste for the unconventional.
Different being. Possibility of being yourself.
Possibility of something to happen. You and music. Clear. All night long.
At the top level. After the floor started to give away and was removed, then through two floors. House, d’n’b. With DJs from the capital’s and Väätsa guys. Once a month. Expectedly.
Scene no 3
In “Kaku” bar, drinking lemonade and eating rolls once in a while. When a lesson was cancelled or was just a wish the will to play truant. A lady in the bar was wicked – she didn’t like children. Especially when you didn’t know if you had money for both and you went twice to her to order.
Culture house café as well. Potato salad in a glass bowl. And another time French fries with ketchup.
Scene no 4
Flowers. First ones, the ones that grow in the ditch next to graveyard. Even if there were no flowers yet, you could mark the leaves to come back in some days. Few spots of snow, wish of melting water from the roofs of garages, sun, first flies and first smells are the obligatory elements of the image.
Scene no 5
Time-Space-Movement. Those three days, when town was filled with nice-strange people and CHAVS had all disappeared. To run your course in the town and let events lead you. Some installations placed randomly to the space, naked artists digging in to the ground, Kärt Putk’s pink paintings and pink velveteen trousers, Tuutu and Mari Sobolev of course with their extrovert child, meanwhile discovering yourself in the middle of a performance dancing with the Wolfman’s because of your red hair and then chatting with someone in the shade of a tree.
